THE CANEVER’S HEN
PIWI VENETO IGT FROM VOLTURNIS PINOT KORS GRAPES
The story behind the bottle
In ancient Venice, among the canals and stately palaces, lived a cellarman named Canever.
His workshop was a place of quiet and mystery where Canever, among the shadows and the fresh aroma of the wood of the barrels, lovingly guarded precious wines.
One day the Canever heard an unusual sound coming from the farthest corner of the cellar.
Approaching cautiously, he discovered a hen with golden plumage and eyes sparkling like gems.
It was evident that this was no ordinary hen.
Curious and amazed, Canever decided to take care of it, and as the days passed, he discovered that it possessed an extraordinary gift: every evening, when the cellar was plunged into silence, the hen would begin to sing.
Her melodious and enchanting song had a miraculous effect on the wines: as the song filled the air, the barrels resonated with a magical vibration.
The wine inside them was transformed, acquiring an unparalleled flavor and aroma, capable of alleviating all suffering and cheering the darkest spirits.
News of the enchanted wine and its beneficial effects spread quickly.
With the hen by his side, the Canever began to travel the world, taking the delicious, carefree wine with him.
Wherever he went, he shared his magical creation with anyone who needed it.
The wine, born of the hen’s song, brought joy and relief to anyone who drank it, transforming the darkest moments into moments of pure happiness.
Their story inspired many to seek magic in simple things and to share their joy with others.

PINOT KORS.
piwi resistant vine
Pinot Kors is a black grape variety belonging to the PIWI grape family, obtained by crossing Pinot Noir and a variety resistant to fungal diseases.
It is characterized by medium-sized clusters with spherical-shaped berries and blue-black skin.
This grape variety is distinguished by its ability to produce wines with good aromatic intensity and a flavor profile similar to that of its progenitor, which includes notes of berries such as cherry and blackberry, often accompanied by spicy and floral hints.
VOLTURNIS
piwi resistant vine
The sensory profile is similar to the Pinot noir parent, from which this variety is obtained.
The aromatic picture presents a good intensity of red fruits and ripe fruitiness, reminiscent of black cherries and wild strawberry, also perceptible in the aftertaste.
The polyphenolic composition of Volturnis is rich, with a good concentration of quality anthocyanins and tannins, which give the wine body and longevity, making it suitable both for drinking young and for medium or prolonged aging.
